Traspasso's mock. Has the other TEs - Washington, LaPorta and Musgrave - all going ahead of Mayer who slips to us at 58. Somewhere CATCH17 soils himself in excitement.

Then Ricks, CB in the 3rd. Looking at whose on the board at each pick, Mayer makes sense as some of the guys we have talked about - Avila, Hyatt, Tillman, the other TEs - are all off the board. Mims at 58 could make some sense. But I just noticed Schmitz is still on the board. Yeah, I might go him, then Mayer at 58 in that order.

In the third, I think I'd pass on Ricks and go Zavala (if we didn't go OL in the 2nd) or Kraft (if we didn't go TE in the 2nd).

Ricks has been falling. He is probably a 5th rounder now. Maybe 4th. Dont see him going in the 3rd. I don't think he os really very playable year 1

IMO Ricks is a good day 3 pick for us

Dane has him as a day 3 prospect.

I just don't get the Charbonnet love some have. He looks stiff to me, runs upright, isn't the fastest guy and can get a little happy feetish at the LOS.

But in the third, I can live with it.
Yea I don't like him much at all.

I think he can be a full time back. I remember what happened to our offense once Pollard went down, it died

The TB we take needs to be able to be a full time starter

I would actually take another back with one if our comp 5ths to make sure we have a 3 headed monster

I’m not a believer in Davis

there is some absolute talent/value in the 2nd, sheesh. wish we could double dip

I’d go Schmitz in that case, but if Mayer is one of the illustrious eleven, and I suspect he may be, he is the guy.

I’m not in love with his game, but that’s a helluva player at 58.

I looked at FantasyPros updated for Rounds 2 and 3 they have Dallas selecting:

2nd Round: Steve Avila OG
3rd Round: Roschan Johnson RB

I would love that but I don't think there is any way Avila slides all the way to us.

I agree with you. I’d like a center or guard with one of those two picks.

Mayer/Zavala seems like the best value in my opinion.

Not a believer in Ronald Jones?

I really think they have to come out of tonight with an OL.

Well, LOL, that's what I want them to do.
