Surprise right out of the shoot for Dallas as he has us taking LaPorta at 26 with Mayer, Kincaid, Washington still on the board.

Rest of our draft:

2 - Achane, TB, A&M
3 - Skinner, S, Boise
4 - Ekiyor Jr, OL, Bama
5 - Stills, DT, WVU
6 - Land, LB, Florida A&M
7 - Gwyn, OC, South Carolina

I just don't like a TE at 26 but LaPorta was a guy I had my eye on in later rounds. In the 2nd, with guys like Simpson and Foskey and Dexter still on the board, I am not taking Achane. In the third, Mingo and Evans would be better picks IMO.

LaPorta in round 1 seems really high. Can't see a TE rally that high.

I like nothing about that mock.

And I’ll venture to say that not a single one of his predictions for the Cowboys will be accurate.

CBS is one of the worst draft sites these days since Dane left a few years ago.

I fear Achane is a guy they would really like in the 2nd.

But to me, there's nothing special about Achane that I can't get with guys like Evans or Spears or some other backs in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

I might go (and still not tickled pink about it):

1 - Harrison, OT, OU
2 - Foskey, EDGE, ND OR Dexter, DL, UF
3 - Evans, TB, Ole Miss
4 - Kuntz, TE, Old Dominion
5 - Stills, DT, WVU

The rest is just a crap shoot anyway

He lost me when he had Dallas pass on Robinson. But the to draft LaPorta instead? It looks like anti-Dallas bias just wishing for them to do something so dumb.

Lazy (click bait) drafting, based on nothing other than need and shock and awe from the largest fanbase. But it achieved one of it's aims....how many of us have viewed it ...even though ifs Fantasy Football.

Fire this dude now.

Way too high for LaPorta especially over the other TEs available

Achane offers nothing Pollard doesn’t

Skinner likely misses time, so that’s really 3 depth picks already

Ekiyor is depth, so 1 decent pick

Stills is likely an UDFA or 7th rounder

Draft would be a D maximum for me

I like Skinner in the 3rd as a prospect, but he would be basically red-shirting this year since we have three starting safeties all lined up. I would hope our third-round pick could contribute a bit more.

I do love La Porta, however, but not over Mayer and Kincaid.

I like Skinner in the 3rd and wouldn’t mind a redshirt to start the year. Keep in mind, guys in the past (Billy Price, Kendall Sheffield) tore their pec during the combine and both played in Week 1 and 2 of that season.

My issue is, you can’t draft a redshirt guy in the 3rd when your first two picks aren’t home run / starters.

LaPorta isn’t a game changer. 5 career TDs and maxes out around 670 yards a year. Not a great blocker

Achane really isn’t any different or a change of pace from Pollard. So your 2nd rounder gets minimal rushes as Pollard is your 1, Jones will get short yardage and Davis can play as wel.

He has us taking LaPorta with Robinson, Mayer and Bresee going the three picks after us. If that happens, there will be riots.
