On the play of the offense:
“It was good to come out and execute tonight. I felt like we’ve had a really good camp and it was good to see that carry over tonight when the game started. We’re a confident group and we feel like when we get the ball we have a good chance to score. We got a lot of pressure from the defense, and as a whole, we’ve got a bunch of guys that have played a long time together and I think it showed tonight.”

On how the first team offense played:
“I think the offense did well, but obviously, you can always get better. I thought in that first drive we really went down and set the tempo and we were in and out of the huddle (in each play) really quick. We ended up scoring on the first drive, so it couldn’t have been any better. We still have a lot of work to do, but I think we have this thing going the right way.”

On how the first team defense played:
“Without looking at the film yet, I thought defensively we came out and had a good start. We have a while before we’ll have everything go the way we want it to go, and we have some work to do, but it’s still early. So as long as everyone comes out healthy and keeps building and building, we’ll be alright.”
LB ZACH THOMAS
On the play of the defense:
“We have a long ways to go and we have a lot to work on, but it’s a start and that’s why it’s a preseason game.”
On his first time playing with the Dallas defense in a game:
“It’s good to get comfortable around other players, although I was a little nervous. I’ve never been nervous for a preseason game, but for this one I was because everything’s changed, but it will come. I still have a long ways to go myself.”
