--- From the SAD BUT TRUE file: I spent more time, energy and brainpower on re-vamping my lame FANTASY FOOTBALL roster this week than I did on my job.

--- From the WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES file: Just about this time last November, the COWBOYS were in the Meadowlands beating the GIANTS and getting control of the NFC East. This year, the Giants will more than likely return the favor. But, the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl anyway last year ... the Cowboys are clinging to the hope they can regain their footing and return THAT favor.

--- Quick question: Did Wade Phillips jump out of the HOT SEAT with that win over Tampa last week?
--- Quick answer : YES. If the Cowboys lose the next two games ... he climbs right back in it.

--- BROOKS BOLLINGER should play Sunday in the Meadowlands. It is simple logic to me ... if your starter can't play ...go to your back up. If your back up can't play ... go to your third stringer. TONY ROMO can't play and BRAD JOHNSON can't play.

--- THUMBS UP Cowboys ... Bradie James, Zach Thomas and Terrell Owens (for not throwing Brad Johnson under the bus this week).
--- THUMBS DOWN Cowboys...Anybody in on the decision to roll with Brad Johnson as this team's back up QB this season.

--- PREDICTIONS ... I get a little misty-eyed trick or treating. Texas finds a way to win in Lubbock ... Florida spanks Georgia ... The Big Ten gets embarrassed in the BCS title game ... AGAIN ... Plaxico Burress kills the Cowboys ... several guys come close to killing Brad Johnson ... Tyler will be fine in March and the Heels win the Big Dance.

--- I may be a little more than biased ...but my thought as I dropped off my little 6-year-old at school in her Halloween costume this morning ... she has to be the cutest little WONDER WOMAN in the world. As I stayed there for several minutes admiring the handi-work of her mommy... (on both her and the costume) ... it occurred to me ... that vision will stay with me for the rest of my life. It was truly one of those rare "DAMN, I'M A LUCKY GUY" moments.

--- And oh yea ... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I hope all these mediots choke on some crow on Monday by giving the cowboys no shot on Sunday. It is like my mother who is not really a football fan, said "they still have to play the game. It doesn't matter what anyone else says. Nobody expected the Giants to win it all last year and look what happened. If you believe what everyone else says than why try anything or even show up. The 1980 US Olympic Hockey team should be attest to that." (My parents were there when it happened and she always tell people you have to believe in yourself before any one else can. I am sorry but I just upset that evry one does not think the cowboys even have chance. Man I hope they beat them and Johnson does well.
