Larry Allen said that after the video of him benching 705 pounds at the Cowboys training facility went viral, the NFL tested him every week for the remainder of his career.
It's not called the No Fun League for no reason. I'm curious though how many other teams have this sort of thing happen a lot.

The Bengals QB had the same thing happen to him a few weeks ago after he led the Bengals to a win.

I get the NFL has to do this at times, but right before the playoffs? Doesn’t help the sport, but idiots are going to be idiots.

i don’t think this would have been shared if Lamb was worried about not passing.

The photograph doesn't show the entire (= top of the) page of the request.
Surely there is a time and date on the printout.
Someone in the know provide a follow-up to it was done during /toward the ending of the game.
Open it on Twitter/X and it shows the entire letter. It is dated 12/30/2023.

I don’t think it’s preordained, we only hear about the ones that fit the narrative. vocal minority. Why has CeeDee not gotten 5 or 6 of these this season? Had CD not gotten one and Aubrey did, everyone would be claiming THAT was how it’s not random. Or if #68 for the Lions got one. Or if Lewis with the phenomenal interception got one. But we’re never going to hear about them not getting one, just like we don’t often hear about top performers getting one. So the only way to prevent this from being viewed as intentional is if the league stops giving the best players tests on days when they play well, and in that scenario it then would actually be rigged.

This is known as confirmation bias.

If, and I repeat, IF, Lamb fails that test, the offense is in a lot of trouble.

The drug testing process is handled by an independent company and all selected players are (supposed to be) chosen at random.

Every so often a player who had a great day gets randomly chosen and the player posts about it on social media and the rest of the media sensatlionalizes it into a story that everyone shares.

It works because here we are ...

Every week they are doing this to the guys with the biggest games. Unless of course your name is Kittle, Mahomes, Purdy, etc.

Not really he can have time to appeal it and they have to research it with only one game left this year and then the playoffs they're not gonna suspend him right now.. There's a process his legal team in the union can do to stretch this out into next year.....
