Center in the first round?

If Kenyan Green or Charles Cross somehow slide to our pick, that becomes something you have to consider as well.

Have to believe Dallas will not change their BPA for the first two rounds regardless of position. Now BPA might be a bitt of BPA at a position of need or possibly even a small trade down if we finish 31 or 32 meaning we are in the Super Bowl so we need to understand it could happen. We also know that trading up is mostly a pipe dream of the years lately, although if the kid at safety starts to free fall and if Quinn is still the defensive C after all the interviews he goes on then I could actually see us moving up somewhat to get him.

Remember Hamilton broke his leg mid season and hasn't played so although he is rated a top ten pick we all know that QBs, LBs, OTs, DEs and CBs will eventually move up the board by the time the draft arrives. I could see Hamilton fall to the teens pretty easily even possibly pick 20. Probably won't happen but every year several guys we all think will go top ten or just 1st round end up falling for whatever reason.

Also don't count out Dallas taking a Jameson Williams WR Alabama or John Metchie III WR Alabama in late second or even third round especially since both will be coming off ACL injuries and very likely to be on the PUP list at the start of the season so expect both of them to fall. Most teams do not want to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on guys that will not make an immediate impact. Dallas on the other hand will take those shots. Williams would easily take Gallup spot and Metchie has to be either the best or one of the best route runners in the NCAA this year and with great hands.

For me, I would be extremely happy with Devin Lloyd LB Utah or Tyler Linderbaum C Iowa or Jaquan Brisker S Penn St or Jordan Davis DT Georgia or Christian Harris LB Alabama or Bernhard Raiman OT Central Michigan in the 1st round if any of them should be there when we draft. Draft ranking are nice but they will change 100 times between now and draft. Also the Dallas board will always look different that what we believe, always is, always will be.

One thing I don't know beyond Linderbaum, is the overall quality of depth in the OC position in this draft. I know Patterson, the kid from ND who some thought could be a 2nd or 3rd round OC is going back to ND. Other than Linderbaum, what is there in this draft?

Center is an issue for us IMO.

Zion Johnson is also a player to watch. Looking forward to seeing in the Senior Bowl. Could be a late 1st round guy but won’t fall out of round 2. Very versatile player that has performed well on the interior and at Tackle.
