Change is in the air

They drafted the best pass rusher in the draft and signed Fowler.
One guy in the draft and one older vet who's likely on the downswing. Wow, that's SB quality there. It will take more than that given how abysmal our defense plays against good teams.

Forgot the LB from da bears.
The have enough talent right now to make the playoffs. Like to see them hunting another run stuffer, nickel corner, and swing tackle when teams start cutting down. I think they'll be ok at rb but if that group isn't getting it done in camp go get another one.

Then you're just not looking.

Each and every RB brought in this offseason is a clear upgrade over the old, fat and washed Zeke.
This room if running back have a ton of potential. This is discussion...not personalized insults.

Ever play and if you did, at what level?

Billie the Kid knew another Garrett than who you associate with

Actually it is SB quality. Their edge players are excellent. They are loaded at edge. They need a good 1tech.

There seems to be change in the air at the Star these days. I don’t remember, in recent history anyway, they’ve been this active in attempting to fill holes. Don’t be quick to poo poo the free agents as they signed some quality depth there. Not top tier talent but better players than in the past. As everyone should know, you must have quality depth to compete for a Super Bowl because they will be put to the test at some point during the season. As an example of the changes just look at the 2024 RB depth chart compared to 2025:

2024 RB room

* Rico Dowdle
* Ezekiel Elliott
* Dalvin Cook
* Hunter Luepke
* Duece Vaughn

2025 RB room as of May 7th

* Jayden Blue
* Javonte Williams
* Miles Sanders
* Phil Mafah
* Hunder Luepke or Duece

That’s a solid upgrade to the running backs room. Bruisers as well as quickness. Exciting.

The Pickens trade has really got me excited not only becuase he’s one of the best WR’s in the NFL but it signals that theres a change underway in the philosophy of how Jerry and Stephen run the show.

Resigning Osa, Turpin and Hoffman show they got ahead of those contracts which is something they’ve had difficulty doing. Parsons is unsigned but so is Purdy, Trey Hendrickson and TJ Watt.

It’s starting to look like the Cowboys may have a playoff team this year that could go far with some luck with injuries which every team needs.

Enjoy the season!
When Mike McCarthy became head coach in 2020, we signed 10 free agents: DT Gerald McCoy, DT Dontari Poe, CB Maurice Canady, CB Saivion Smith, CB Darryl Worley, S Ha-Ha Clinton Dix, TE Blake Bell, K Greg Zuerlein, DE Aldon Smith and QB Andy Dalton.

Fans felt pretty good about that, but most of these guys were cheap and didn't work out for one reason or another.

We have to hope for different results, but what the front office did is not all that different than what it has done before.

A new Pope from Chicago and tomorrow is Mother's Day. Good to see insult taken out of your conversation direction. Just on football these Cowboys are on good footing and following three consecutive 12 seasons are back progressing following losing their starting quarterback and quite a few starters.

Let's watch and show some patience to at least watch. Go Cowboys! :starspin:
Hey bro we are all fans end of the day.

I don’t think Dak is that great, but with this WR group, and more attention to the O Line, I think we will see a different offense.

I pray at least
