Why go after the older Ty Law (32), when you can have a younger Heisman trophy winner in Charles Woodson (29).
I think this is perfect timing to land a guy like Woodson, who made 10 million last year as Oakland's franchise player. Now, he's been let go because of injuries and is ripe for the plucking. He's played safety for Oakland before and I think would switch full time to prolong his career. Woodson likes the spotlight and I think he'd love wearing the star just like Deion did. Woodson has surely lost a step, but that's why FS would be perfect for him now. He knows the Cowboys are on the rise and if Parcells convinced him, I think Woodson would play safety for Dallas in a heartbeat.
Woodson broke his leg 5 months ago, but that should be completely healed by now. We can get Woodson at a bargain price now and give our secondary a major boost IMO.
