Some can go ahead and complain, yes another mock....but I love this time of year!
Trade: Tenn - 22, 53 and their 2nd and 4th next year. (probably a little rich but that is what was offered)
22. JOK - LB/S Notre Dame (CB's were gone) - This guy flat out makes plays. Something sorely needed on this defense.
44. Jaelan Phillips - DE Miami - Risk but is the most talents edge in the draft, maybe best defensive player overall. If he stays in the game, this would be a HR. Flex for Gregory if he breaks the bank next year.
53. Eric Stokes - CB - Georgia - The man can fly, good size. Can play man but better at zone.
75. Walker Little - OT - Stanford - Smiths eventual replacement. Profiles as a LT - did opt out of 2020, so this is the cause for the drop.
99. Ar'Darius Washington - S TCU - Small, but a ball hawk, play making FS this team really needs.
115. Tony Fields II - LB WV - Defends the run with a non-stop motor.
138. Dayo Odeyingobo - DE Vand - Can't ever have too many rushers. He's 6'6 275 and likely to get bigger. He drops due to injury suffered before Sr. bowl. Perfect mid round pick. Will pay off in years to come. Tank replacement.
179. Derrick Barnes - LB Purdue - Can rush or play physical to stop the run. One of the glue type players a defense needs. Not flashy, won't jump off the screen, but just a solid LB.
192. Robert Hainsey - OT/G ND - OT in college, will likely move to G in the NFL. Stronger, more explosive version of C. Williams.
227. Deommodore Lenoir - CB Oregon - underrated CB and tends to always fall in mocks to end of the draft. Decent size, can play outside or inside.
238. Ben Mason - RB/FB Mich. - I'm so intrigued by this guy. Not sure how we would use him, but would love to see him on the team.
Only thing missing is a DT - looking back, Shelvin was available with the Ar'Darius pick. Might flip those two out, but I just can't see Dallas (even though we all want them to) picking a big run stuffing DT. McNeil went before the Stokes pick. Nixon was available, but this team sorely needs CB at the moment and couldn't pass him up.
