in the history of the league if you could choose one head coach that you would have loved to play for, who would it be. Maybe I’m thinking it’s Tom Florez. A true players coach. And you can only choose one.

I'd go with the plastic man Tom Landry. Heard a cool story about Tom yesterday on Sirius radio. Apparently Tom would bring in a player one on one and he'd ask the player what it was he could do for him. Brought out the best in a player when he felt the head coach cared for him personally. It took Hollywood Henderson years to realize Tom really did care for him. Just sharing.

Jason Garrett.

Can go over his head with no issue.

Treated like a champion without having to actually win anything.

Couldn't be faulted for nodding out in meetings after year two....same monotone words always.

Yep, a players coach for sure.

Fun aside....like many around here, my two favorite coaches of all time are Landry and Jimmy....but playing for either would be tough. Just maybe, hence the success.

Barry Switzer. In game hot dogs!

Actual quote after the Pro-Bowl: "It was a three-hot-dog ballgame," he said. "I watched on the big screen with the cool mist sprayer on me."
The exact reaction I'd expect when mixing a farce like the Pro Bowl with a personality like Switzer.

Good for him.

Do you know if you like that machine style. I am a big fan of laundry. Just not sure I’d want to play for him

His players, really did enjoy playing for him good choice

They hated that they loved him so much. I would have wanted to experience that.

Plus I wouldn't want to play for a coach who refused to wear our logo like Landry.

The Big Tuna walked the walk, if you didnt like what he had to say he wouldnt have one of his staff explain it to you, he would in person.

How can you be sure that most of us around here don't feel that way about you?

Take @Rockport for example. He clearly enjoys your posts yet can't seem to embrace the overall love.

I'd call it comparable at worst.

I think I might pick John Madden. Everybody loved that guy, and I gotta admit, even though I never liked the Raiders, I liked Madden.

Madden have the best inductee speech. I love to talk to the other people around me in the middle of the night when no one‘s around. All the other busts
