I know we have about 1000 threads on coaching, coaches, who's staying, who's going, let's get rid of Dak, ect.
One thing I keep asking myself is when is the last time I felt the Cowboys have had a consistent coaching advantage/edge over other teams?
This is painful, but I honestly think it goes all the way back to Jimmy Johnson and that is just the brutal reality.
We've seen this team get schooled by younger, brighter, more schematic thinking coaches time and again.
It sickens me to see other teams have guys like McVey, Shanahan, LaFleur, DeMeco Ryans, Zac Taylor, and a few others and I wonder why we can't get a guy like that?
The Cowboys NEED a guy like that. They need someone to bring some excitement to this fan base and team and bringing back McCarthy does not move the needle.
I've been a fan since 1977 and I am truly wondering if I will still be a fan of the team if they retain McCarthy?
I can promise you I've never said that before.
Apologies for a bit of a pointless thread but damn I want some major organizational changes and I just feel the Jones family won't be willing to do it.
