Radiohead is genius though. Colplay is a lighter, chick friendlier version of Radiohead. It came as no surprise to me that the lead singer of Colplay likes Radiohead alot. He bit there steeze

Coldplay is a grown man's band for sure.
But same as radiohead they have far weaker current albums then previous stuff.

Radiohead's latest stuff just sucked IMHO.

Both bands are trendy music snob choices.
And I always thought of Coldplay as a cheap imitation of U2, not radiohead.

Not too long ago, I realized I had dismissed music from my life and looked fairly sad when it came to recognizing recent popular music. I didn't want to be the crusty old guy who listens to stuff that was popular ten years ago and looks out of place to anyone who keeps up with the best tunes, so I decided to buy the new Coldplay CD since it seemed to be so hot with the kids. I really enjoyed it, and still listen to it a lot, but somewhere in my research of the band, I realized that this is the music that crusty old people listen to when they can't deal with the more wild tunes for today's youth. Oh well.... :

You cant go wrong with the classics. Ac DC, Zeppelin, Steve Miller, The Who, Steely Dan, Bad Company.
