There are some good games this week that should help with the NC and BCS picture.

Virginia Tech beat Georgia Tech on Thursday and the ACC appears to be headed to a championship matchup between 1-loss VT and 1-loss Clemson.

The Big 10 is going to get messier with Nebraska at Penn State and Mich St at Iowa. Penn St is undefeated in conference games but finishes the season with Nebraska, Ohio St and Wisconsin. With the current trouble I could see them losing all three.

Spurier and South Carolina are hosting Florida as they try to catch Georgia for the SEC East title. Georgia is hosting Auburn and neither team has a meaningful conference game after this week.

Bedlam is the only game that matters for the Big 12 this season. The Cowboys are headed to Tech this weekend in what should be a shootout but it is too little too late for the Texas schools to catch OSU or OU.

The Pac-12 has the most interesting matchup of the week with #6 Oregon traveling to #3 Stanford in a game most think will decide the conference championship. A Stanford win solidifies their position ahead of Boise State and 1-loss Alabama for a spot in the NC game.

In Boise State's second toughest match of the year they are hosting TCU. This game will decide the MWC champion, can TCU pull off the big upset on the blue turf?

I don't expect my Longhorns to catch OU and OSU but currently they are ranked 16 in the BSC ranking and just hoping they will move up to get a good bowl game and to prove some people wrong that Texas would do no better than last season.

Last year was just a fluke season for the Longhorns. If anyone thought they would repeat that type of performance they really do not know what they are talking about. They have already won 6 games while beating two of the weaker teams that beat them last year. The final stretch could be tough but I expect them to win at least two of those games and possibly all four. I think Thanksgiving against TAMU decides 3rd place and possibly the Cotton Bowl (assuming the Ags can pull their heads out of their butts and beat K-State).

saw some highlights of Virginia Tech's game and it looked like they had a 6'6" Earl Campbell playing QB.

I made a statement about Ash throwing short passes and intermediate passes during the week and was interested in seeing how he would perform when those situations come up. So far, not so good. With the three backs out to injury (even tho Malcolm and Joe are dressed), they are needing to rely on Ash's arm to drive down the field. It's looking meh right now.

Wow that Mizzou player not being able to get the ball and score on that blocked punt could be a game-saving play for Texas. They've looked bad but a few big plays and they're right back in this game. Has Gary Pinkel ever beaten Texas?

Well Ash can't pass all that well....I will continue to argue that McCoy is a better passer than Ash, even if his arm isn't as strong, though he isn't very impressive himself......but with Brown, Bergeron, and Fozzy all hurt right now, their running game is non-existent. They are now one dimensional without a QB who can seem to carry the team.

btw, the penalty on the vaccaro tackle was pure garbage and cost Texas huge......this should be a one score game, but that stupid penalty call kept the drive alive, which led to a TD.

Great job by the defense again if only our offense can get going.

hard to have offense when the QBs cant complete a pass, your top 3 RBs are sidelined with injury, and your OL has decided not to play today.

the game announcers are horrible......we get it, Texas can't run the ball, yes Mizzou is shutting down their running game....but then again, they didn't have to try and stop Brown or Bergeron....Fozzy got hurt early in the 1st quarter.....

Stop giving props to a defense for shutting down the 4th, 5th, and 6th team RBs....sheesh.
