I am interested in seeing what the Cowboys do to improve the offensive line. I think the Cowboys like Ball and Steele better then the fans do. They need to be developed in the offseason. I think the Cowboys are keeping the center, Martin and Smith. Collins is someone I know they are having meetings about. The Cowboys have to improve chemistry on the line and have to improve the interior. Rewatching the San Francisco game the center and left guard position destroyed us. Martin and Smith had to help out all game on the interior. When that happens your offense is F$&@!!!

Isn't Connor Williams a free agent? That's the way I would go then. And start looking for Smith's replacement via the draft.

I called for this combo all last year and nobody in the organization even gave me the time of day on it. I'm off this bandwagon !

Cut Collins. Save 10 mill in base.

use his $ to sign Schultz.

Steele to RT.

draft a LG.

we still have CMcGov for one more season.

You only save 1.3 million against the cap if you cut him pre June 1. Yes you save his base but you have to account for signing bonus and restructures that were spread out over his contract.

You only save 10 million as a June 1 cut. Even if you just designate him a June 1 cut earlier you still have to carry his full cap hit until June 1.

In other words, cutting Collins won’t save you enough money to sign Schultz.

It's tough to trust Farinok at this point but he looked OK in preseason and the Philly game.

They must see something in him as he dressed most weeks.

It's nice to want a high pick at every position on the OL, but most teams get away with one, maybe two of those.....and the rest are low picks or UDFA types.

So....I'd look at him as a Biadasz upgrade, but maybe an LG candidate if Biadasz figures things out.

Know what's really underrated?

How Schultz' inability to get to the man he was supposed to block affected our run game.

On the first series alone vs SF his man blew up the play twice and heavily contributed toward setting the wrong tone.

I guess people are into the PPR league crap and think he is a good player.

I dont even want him here cheaply. We don't run the ball, we don't have a chance.

Why would you move a still quality LT in Smith to LG to replace him with a guy who is much worse at LT?
Maybe moving Tyron inside will help keep him healthy. Steele isn't much of a drop off. Tyron's availability is a problem.
