This is speculation by Yahoo blog. But I would think if he was, there would be plenty of PS opportunities for him. Granted he looked bad in his pre-season debut, but I think with time he can be decent backup QB.

And if given a chance, I am sure he will take PS opportunity with Cowboys than some other team, even browns. At least I think he would.

So, how does this work? If he's cut you can sign him but only to the 53-man roster unless he clears waivers then he can be signed to any practice squad? Is this correct?

I think he has to be added to another teams 53 man roster.

Yes, if he clears waivers he can be signed to PS.

he wouldn't clear waivers...

as bad as he has looked and considering it'd be Mike Holmgren cutting him loose, I think odds are he'd easily clear waivers...

he just isnt much of a fit for the pro game...still I'd be surprised if Holmgren gave up on him this fast

I wish him all the best of luck, but he will never be our starting QB and we shouldn't waste our time trying.
