Commanders add another defensive lineman with Vonnie Holliday

Hmm! How are they adding all of these players with their salary cap situation?

13-year NFL veteran Vonnie Holliday will join a crowded group of defensive linemen in Washington, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Holliday played in Denver last year after four productive years in Miami. He has flexibility to play multiple positions on the line, but should be a defensive end in Washington's new 3-4 front.

Longtime Commander Philip Daniels underwent knee surgery in May, so Holliday may have been added to compete for Daniels' snaps. Adam Carriker, Darrion Scott, and Greg Peterson have all been added to the mix during the offseason.

It's like that team stopped updating their game films after 2005.

What? Vonnie Holliday is available? Sign him up!

Lol... Shanahan is an offensive genius but has always been horrible at putting defense's together... He is just showing that things haven't changed lol... I have to admit I was a little worried about the Commanders with him coming in offensively & inheriting that good defense that they had... but that was before I knew he was gonna be allowed to screw that up lol:lmao2:

I am quite sure Shanahan forgot more about football then I know, but he could not have found a young buck to plug in there?

What cap Joe? It will only hurt them if when the cap comes back.

i thought they were at the top of their cap money after signing mcnabb, hawnesworth, and other players,

so i thought they couldnt afford to sign any more players ortheir draft picks;

because i thought we were one of the top teams with salary cap way over, like adam our cap guru showed us, we had like 4 million left, but after releasing flozell and ken hamlin we cleared up 10 million, so thats where i got cap situation,

This a cap less season and they were a bottom 5 or 10 team so they don't have any restrictions.....that I know of.

I hear Greg Ellis is available also. :D
Greg Ellis is probably my all-time least favorite Cowboy, I pray that they make the mistake of picking him up.

I had nothing against him until his final season or two in Dallas. He whined to much.

It sort of reminds me of the 2000 offseason.

That year they went out and signed the 1995 All Pro Team.
