According to "league sources" (and this according to John Clayton on Mike and Mike) the Commanders are gauging trade interest in Albert Haynesworth again. Front-runner is thought to be the Titans.

John Clayton says that the contract as it stands now is very tradeable since Haynesworth's big payout has already come.

Fat Albert should just retire. He is a bum and he already has enough money after the idiot midget paid him.

How awesome would it be if they only get a 6th or 7th for Fat Albert then he becomes a ProBowler again for Tenn.

Commanders, Titans talking Albert Haynesworth trade
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 7, 2010 9:21 AM ET
When the relationship between Albert Haynesworth and the Commanders continued to deteriorate over the weekend, MDS had a great post which essentially said this:

The Commanders either need to accept Haynesworth as a Commander (and stop anonymously ripping him) or cut bait once and for all.

It looks like they are trying for door number two.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Titans and Commanders have again engaged in trade talk about Haynesworth. There is no deal yet. Mort says the Commanders' asking price of two draft picks remains too high for Tennessee.

If this is true, why would they risk an injury and play him at all? either you trade him for pretty much anything or cut him loose.

Wow. Fat Albert is a lazy slob, but it couldn't happen to a better team.

Titans would get a steal....

Haynesworth has always played well there and fits their scheme so well.

I wonder what the skins would get in return? They already gave Al a big chunk of that contract....Titans would have him for peanuts ...

And many experts think this franchise (the Commanders) is going to make the playoffs?

My question is this. What train wreck deal is next on the Commanders agenda? I'm sure the Fat Albert deal isn't the last one!

If they have to trade him, no matter where he goes, and only get a 6th or 7th out of him I'll never stop laughing about this whole deal with him and the Skins.

It's already one of my favorite Commanders blunders, in the fact that they bothered to sign this loser in the first place, but if they gave him all that money, got zip from him basically, and then have to give him away for like a 6th round pick that would be absolutely glorious.

And, no, he won't return to Pro Bowl form, even if he goes back to the Titans. Not until it's time for a new contract. That's the only time that fat piece of crap shows up.

If Washington wants two draft choices, try 7th rounders in consecutive drafts...:lmao2:

They won't even have either by the time that the draft rolls around.

They have a completely revamped 3-4 defensive scheme. And their top pass rusher, a rook - Orakpo, would only be 3rd on the Dallas depth chart.

Yeah, no kidding. No matter what draft picks they get as consideration, Danny Boy will trade them away for next year's hot RFA.

Please quit with this non sense, and no, Haynesworth was not always good there. he was considered a huge bust his first couple of seasons and was never a consistent player.

No way I wouldn't want a 4, atleast this early. Keep him around during the season and we might find a team in need for his skills and willing to give up a 2nd.

Not that I want good things fom the Commanders, but things may change in the next few weeks. Injuries may take place or a team may come out of the gates and feel they only need that one player to get them over the hump. Heck, if the Titans start off right this year, they may bump up their offer. No reason to deal him for peanuts given what they paid him.

There's a general theme here. Lumpy ain't gonna put forth an effort. Why would that garner a higher pick for him? If anything, his stock would fall.
