Comments from New QB Sam Howell

All I want is for dak to be competitive in games we are supposed to get stomped into the ground. 3 & outs or int that put us further behind doesn't help. I believe that is fair to ask.
And you don’t believe he did that last year? We were suppose to lose th Packers game? But because he couldn’t get stops it was on him?

I hope Sam takes daks place by game 3. You won't find him in the back of a strip club or cheating on his fiancée and his kids.

This guys basically cooper rush with a better arm He's had some good moments nothing wrong with having a guy on the roster like this I guarantee he's better than Will Grier and that's he needs to be..

this is the kind of guy I like to see as QB2. He's started 17 games, thrown over 600 passes.
Joe Milton can be the QB3 development guy. Week 16 if Dak can't go, I dont wanna see Milton out there with his big arm knowing full well he is raw and inexperienced. Give me a guy like Howell.
I think we'll take Howell over Milton. However...did you already forget that in the last (admittedly "meaningless") game, Milton had nearly the exact same stats as Dak? +50 yards rushing?

I think with some heavy coaching and experience, he'd make a decent QB. Just have to retrain his "Im a better athlete than everyone else out here" mentality and some ball "touch". Not sure a pro team wants to invest that much inhim....just let him roll I guess.

Big fan of this signing. Best backup qb we’ve had in a few years. I think he could be a capable starter in this league.
He has a reputation for being really "football smart". Nice to have.

His problem is his decision-making under fire. Its like he knows the game well, but suffers from analysis-paralysis. So in watching some youtube videos on him he tends to have a default mechanism, when things are in doubt go the for the big or risky play.

He has the Romo disease in him. He the type of player who would have pissed off Bill Parcells. Better pick up than Milton, Rush, Grier and the host of other players the front office has dragged in over the years.

He's Kellen Moore, with a better arm??? Moore had a great football mind, terrible recognition under duress made all the worse with a pea shooter arm.

It’s a lie. Someone on this forum stated that no one wants to play for the Cowboys.
I don't think there was a lot of takers for his services. He has bounced around and this is his fourth team in four years.

What magical crystal ball do we have in Dallas that other teams don't.

If I was reading the tea leaves, when Sam and his agent were sitting down and talking about strategy and offers (some potential) in front of him they looked at Dak Prescott and both said, "This dude is an injury waiting to happen." Then they loaded up the tape of Joe Milton and Will Grier and broke out a couple of beers while watching the film to the tune of Benny Hill's soundtrack while cracking up.

It wouldn't surprise me that this made up part of their decision to choose Dallas. He didn't come here to win a SuperBowl. He came here because QB room was the easiest one to gain a roster position and showcase himself because this starter could go down any minute.

Dak facts, not Dak hate...

In the last five years Dak has had four major injuries resulting in 14 lost games in the last three seasons.

Cue Sam Howell and his agent doing a high five here. IMO the Cowboys played very little in the decision making, it was all about the QB room.
