Was thinking about this and thought I might post it to see what you guys thought.

Going to list the top 10 QBs in no particular order currently playing in the NFL and you think about which QBs from yesteryear they remind you of.

Payton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Kurt Warner
Aaron Rodgers
Brett Favre
Tony Romo
Philip Rivers
Donavan McNabb
Carson Palmer

I'll start it off with Tony Romo. Many say that Romo reminds them of Brett Farve, who is still active, but when I watch him play, the more I watch, the more he reminds me of Joe Montana.

please Explain the Staubach-Brady comparison.

Roger used his mobility and Brady has very little. Roger was also a very tough guy and Brady is a crybaby.

Rodgers-Kelly is a good comparison.

Palmer-Elway? Palmer is soooooooooooo overrated. explain this one too.

Roger and Brady - Both very intelligent, both extreme competitors, both late round picks. Similar build and arm strenght. Roger ran out of the pocket a little more but both were able to avoid the rush and both hate losing more then anything.

Palmer and Elway. I thought about comparing Elway to Aikman but the throwing styles are too different. Physically, both have similar skill sets. Both had big arms, when Palmer came out, he had good mobility, like Elway. Both very accurate, had excellent deep balls, both could throw the deep out with excellent velocity, both number 1 picks and both California Products. Palmer has not seen the success Elway did but Palmer still has time. Palmer is an excellent QB IMO. He's just not playing for a great franchise.

Way off on the Brady and Staubach comparison. Brady has been nowhere near as good coming back as Roger was. ALso NOWHERE NEAR AS MOBILE. NOT EVEN in the same GALAXY. And there was a lot more fire and leadership in ROger.

...Roger I have seen in the last 20 years and it's not really a close comparison was Steve Young.

Guys, your welcome to make your own comparisons. That's kinda the point.

I don't have any to add as I rarely watch a current QB and think about an old one. Maybe just based on an odd throwing motion, Rivers would remind me of Bernie Kosar.

I am wondering why you compared two righties to two lefties. Those comparisons really struck me as strange ones.
