I need a login system that accomodate probably 15-20 people.

Ideally, something like Windows login used to be. I have really actually logged into a Windows computer in years because the computer I use is my private computer. I think the last time I logged into a Windows computer was XP.

Windows login might even work if it can accomodate that many people.

Picture icons would be very appreciated.

I'd like each person to be able to have their files safe from other-user access if possible. This is pretty key actually and I really need it to be in the system. Having jump drives for each person isn't really feasible for the perspective users.

In short, I need something extremely simple. Clicking on a picture icon and entering the password would be best but if the user must enter their username that will probably work.

I need it to accomodate a good number of people. I was told 15-20 but there's a possibility that it could be more.

I need storage capabilities for each user that is secure. And by secure, I don't mean anything elaborate. Hell, having a folder for each user on the desktop that required their password to access would be enough.

And I need it to be FREE or as cheap as possible. It's for a community service-type project and those usually work best when there is little or no expense to those you serve.

Any suggestions? Come on nyc, I know you got something.

You can do that with Windows7 just setup an account for each user. As long as they don't have admin rights they can't each the other persons files.

How much space do you need and what type of backup system do you need that Matters

I was hoping I could. That would be the easiest route but wasn't sure if 15-20 accounts would be more than Windows usually works with.

I'll give it a shot.

I've never tried that many but you will need some serious disk space for files. lol

Just one computer or multiple?

This is what Windows Domains do. Setup a Windows domain controller with file shares. You can even create groups that will allows certain (or all) users to share some files.
