Just do this.

Think about this game as if it was the Vikings game and the Vikings game as if it were this game.

See, now you feel better. ;)

(the more you think about it, the more you'll realize that this NFL thing is tricky. Teams you think you're going to roll will play you tough. Games you think will be close are blow-outs.)

Believe it or not, the players are human. They see the spread. They hear the BS about how "good" they are. They "take the cheese"... and the other side. They see that stuff too... They are competitive, PROFESSIONAL football players who aren't going to lay down.

In the immortal words of Dominic Toretto "“it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning!

Michael Irvin is concerned. This morning he was only in Methodist preacher mode instead of full Baptist Minister fire breathing mode……he’s concerned

He was no T.D. Jakes

Don’t put much stock in yesterday.

A letdown like that is going to happen at home against a bad team.

Also the surprise running QB threw them off and kept things closer than they should have been.

If there’s any negatives in a win, it was the injuries, particularly to #78. Peters hasn’t played a full game yet, so it’s not as if we won’t miss a beat there. I’m hoping it’s only a sprain.

Yeah, the injuries are a huge concern as we move forward. It is nice to have some depth at the tackle position now with Tyron coming back and Peters on the roster. The biggest thing, to me, is the continuity of the line... I hope we can get ti right the first time and not have to move pieces around. Let the new line-up gel.

Here's the problem.

If one is honest, it's not just a let down game. The concerns are legitimate.

In the last two games, they've largely played mediocre to bad in 7 of the last 8 quarters. The defense doesn't look anything like the one earlier in the year over that stretch. The offense looks stagnant. The 4th Q implosion by the Colts masked a lot of issues.

Something aint right with this team right now and if they don't figure it out, they are looking at losing in Jacksonsville and then coming back to have to play Philly who has dominated the last two weeks in utterly destroying their opponents.

I'm way more concerned about the pile up of injuries than I am yesterday's game. Everybody has off days. It happens.

Kudos for finding a good usage for a Dominic Toretto quote.:thumbup:

Yeah there’s definitely a certain problem…..

It’s that they aren’t THAT good. They are a very good, not great team (like many). They are going to be inconsistent and look like crap at times.

Thinking the run defense isn’t an issue is flat out denial….I get that…..

But they ARE capable, and I’m kinda hoping they are playing peak ball in January, more so than now.

You don’t have to be a perfect team to get hot and advance deep into the playoffs. Last years Bengals with their garbage OL is one example.

If we'd lost the game, I think there's reason for big concern. The entire team rallied in the 4th quarter. The D had a great stop. The O had a great drive to win the game. Any given Sunday, anyone can beat anyone. This holds true in the playoffs. We just need to be at our best when January/February rolls around. Just win!

Our biggest issue is our O play caller. That hasn't changed. Win or lose, he's still a liability.
