You beat us fair and square , truthfully we could have been swept.

We won the WS last year after a 9 year dry spell , and got to the final 4 this year, I'll take it , we have nothing to be ashamed of.

We're a team , whose amazing CORE 4 is on it's last leg; Posada, MO(ageless),AP, Jeter , all late 30's - I'd like to say we'll be back, but I'm not so sure how soon this time, it's going to take an overhaul and shifting some players around.

But , enjoy this, it DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY YEAR - it may never happen again see Dan Marino - it may never happen See Don Mattingly, most of all Get er done and win it all.

Good Luck!

Jeter and Rivera should be able to keep playing at a high level for you guys until they're in their 50s, lol.

MO - yes

Jeet - had his worst year this year as a pro - he is however on the verge of 3000 hits so he'll be back - but don't forget he's an UFA.

THOUGH , I'd be worried about the curse of Texas Sports teams since the Minnesota SouthWest Stars - it's been ChokeTown USA

Since the Stars moved to Dallas in 1993:
Dallas Cowboys 1993 Superbowl Champs
Dallas Cowboys 1995 Superbowl Champs
Dallas Stars 1999 Stanley Cup Champs
Houston Rockets '94, '95 NBA Champs
San Antonio Spurs '99, '03, '05, '07 NBA Champs
Texas Longhorns 2005 National Champs

Yep certainly hope the Rangers finish the job though, I think they will. Classy 1st post by you, appreciate it. Don't know about the other 3 but count on Jeter being a Yankee for life, book it, probably MO as well.

Frontrunner? I was at the 77-78 World Series vs the LA Dodgers. How bout you? would you like to discuss Texas Ranger BB? I can talk circles around you about your own club.

Cliff Lee: “I live in Arkansas. This is great for my family. It’s definitely the closest thing to home team-wise that I’ve ever played on.”

"They overall played better," said Yankees captain Derek Jeter. "They pitched better, they hit better, they just outplayed us. That's just the bottom line. They were a lot better than us these six games."

Sighing from a folding chair in front of his locker, his undershirt still damp with sweat and his cap slightly askew, Jeter continued, "They deserve to be moving on. They were a better team than us."

From the Yankees' command center in Tampa, Fla., Yankees managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner issued the following statement:

"On behalf of the New York Yankees, I want to congratulate the Texas Rangers, Chuck Greenberg, Nolan Ryan and their entire ownership, staff and organization on winning their first American League pennant. They played liked champions, and we wish them the best of luck representing the American League in the World Series."
