Snaps on Offense:
13 FB/H-Back/TE
10 RG
4 OC

On the drive that he played OC, they did not run any plays from shotgun.

He is now snapping the ball with a conventional grip.
- Some might recall that I posted about his 'reverse' grip when he played OC in college.

Penalty Rate per OL Snap Played (scaled to 100 snaps)
Connor McGovern: 7 penalties per 100 snaps.
Connor Williams: 1.5 penalties per 100 snaps.

It looks like CWs problem is they're having him use the GB holding without getting caught technique, only he gets caught at least once a game.

Interesting....i'm not completely sure what to do with this information, but i'm oddly fascinated by it. The penalties I think is only fair to chalk up to a small sample size, also lining up in about 8 different positions. Kudos to this staff on finding ways to get him involved with the offense though. I would absolutely hate to be a DC trying to prepare for a team this deep at receiver and can also throw out 6 O lineman from anywhere on the field.

On which drive did he play center?

So when McGovern lined up next to CeeDee out wide on the screen play was that a FB, H-back or TE rep?

Or was it a copy and paste error?

Inquiring minds want to know.

He’s gonna be a target in the red zone soon. One of those plays he went out in the flat as a FB. I can’t wait for this moment.

On the play where he was blocking a LB in of open field on an outside run, it was text book Green Bay OLine blocking technique.
- Hand on the outside of the shoulder pad.
- The LB did a good job of flailing to draw the penalty.

If the coaches are teaching that technique, then they're not going to blame the player when it causes a penalty.

CW had 2 accepted penalties against him in the Atlanta game.
- One was the chop block penalty on both him and Steele.
- CW put his shoulder pads into the defenders ribs then lost his footing. It was a lame call.

La'el had 2 accepted penalties.
Steele had 1.

I see you are still promoting Conner Williams as a solid player. I done the same thing with Doug Free. Some won't miss the well until the water dries up.

It was a fluke flag he got called for yesterday. They seem intent on flagging him. He didn't go low on purpose, he fell, that was clear.

Normally when McGovern comes in you expect run, but on 2 occasions Cowboys used play action hitting plays down field both times. I love getting defense thinking one thing and hitting them where they do not expect
