Watching Philly up by 10 and they are still throwing the ball...going for the kill.

Giants put up 40+ points...

Washington's patheitic offense putting up 20 points...

We have the game on the line and we don't even throw the ball in the endzone......SICK!

It's NOT the players!!!

Payton is a scared wuss...and how many blitzes did we run???

Playing scared will make a long season....we honestly should be 4-0, but because of play calling from both sides we are 2-2...and maybe lucky at that.

We have the weapons to open this up offensively and they will not do it.......

We could very well be 0-4 as well.

Yep and they are doing what the Head coach wants they are getting their marching orders plain and smiple.

Remember Parcels said he hated blitzing to get pressure on the QB he thinks the front 4 should apply it. So that means the dline and lb's which ever one is rushing

Dude, Philly throws cause they cant run the ball.

Watch, McNabb wont last the season cause they throw it all the time.

The chiefs are not a good football team, Green gave that game to Philly....Duh its 24-6 and your throwing interceptions again and again, and you have preist holmes ?????? run the clock out, stupid, stupid play calling !!! You could compare us to Cheifs, and say, look what happens when you dont play smart, you blow it big time.

I didnt want a shoot out with raiders, but we did blow it at the end. They seemed like they knew what we wanted to do.

Hey Sarge.

So there was a coach who said, upon taking over his new team, "No matter what you've done in the past, at some point, you have to prove you can still get the job done."

Hmmmmmm....I wonder if this same rule applies to the coach himself? :D

You play not to lose.......you usually do.
Yeah it happens so many times and yet coaches continue with same approach. And watch its going to keep happening to teams until the end of time

Repeat:
Playing not to lose sucks! Instead of designing our O gameplan to attack the opponents Defensive weaknesses, we stick to our conservative play not to lose style. Teams don't even need to game plan against us, since they already know we are not going to take any chances to exploit any particular weakness of our opponent. They know, that no matter what deficencies they have on defense, we are not going to alter our play calling to take advantage of it. We were facing a very tough run defense and lousy pass defense team, and what do we do? We continued to try to establish the run between the tackles. DUH!!! Why didn't we just attack their weakness and throw the ball? Simple, because we don't alter our game plan according to our opponent. We used the same game plan against the Raiders that we used against the Chargers, Commanders, and 49ers. Which is, establish the run, don't take chances, keep it close, and play not to lose, and hope our D can hold down our opponents. Problem is, it NEVER works!!!

Let me ask a question, because I have been asking myself this. Let's say we start playing more aggressively on offense, would we all be willing to tolerate the mistakes that may happen as a result (Int's, fumbles) of being aggressive or would we all be mad for being to aggressive and it costing us. I say there is a middle ground, You can be aggressive, but be smart about it. what I mean is don't be aggressive for the sake of being aggressive, but be aggressive when the time is right, (after running the ball successfully 3 or 4 plays, then throw deep). Like I have said before, I think BP has to learn to trust Payton's playcalling and not be looking over his shoulder. I think Payton is naturally an attack oriented playcaller but with BP looking over his shoulder, he calls more conservative plays because he is afraid of getting chewed out and losing the playcalling responsibility like he did in New York.

Something Bill Parcells doesnt have a clue about.

I am not sure if the problem is Parcells or Peyton or both. But our play calling on offense is the worse in the NFL. Playing not to lose makes you a loser. Play to win. :bang2:

We have to take some shots downfield early! wether they are completed or not, it will at least force the opposing defence to worry about it, and it will open up the running game. I can't beleve we didn't throw a deep pass until three minutes left. Win or Lose our play calling is sickening to watch!

I said it after the first week and I'll say it again....

It is the philosophy that sucks....we have a "play not to lose" philosophy instead of a "play to win" philosophy.

It is going to be a LONG season unless the PHILOSOPHY changes.

Yeah. You would think the coaching staff would have learned by now. First from the collapse in the Commanders game. Then the early lead the 49ers put on us forced us to throw.

I have tended to give Parcells in company the benefit of the doubt, but even I think it is getting ridiculous.

I know we have agreed on this in the past. Unfortunately it seems to be the approach BP has decided to take this season. Not only is it boring, the play not to lose has us at 2-2.
