Continuity is a good thing when you continue things that actually bring success.

When things suck and you think continuity is going to make those things that suck stop sucking then continuity is bad.

The Cowboys are on the wrong side of continuity and instead of a clean slate and start over they are trying to bring back guys their QB is familiar with like Kellen Moore, and Schottenheimer.

Witten? Gross, disgusting, eeeew.

Dallas is so broken and the only thing that’s going to fix this garbage is if some rare QB talent falls from the sky and onto the field for them.

All this crap should have been flushed down the toilet after the GB debacle and started completely over from the coaches to these overpaid “star” players.

Jerry just keeps spraying Febreze instead of draining the swamp.

They would have been in better shape going forward had they just stuck with McCarthy and not signed Dak.

I'd say continuity is good when you have a complete and total vision for the type of team you want to build and the coach in place shares the same passions and values.

The Cowboys don't operate that way. I feel like it's just the Joneses making moves (or a lack of moves) in order to prove themselves right, overcorrecting on previous mistakes, and adding more flash to the 30 year vanity project.

1. Jerry doesn't respect coaches. He thinks players win and coaches are overrated in general.

2. See above, Jerry hates paying coaches.

3. Jerry values loyalty above all and wants someone who will know his place and be a good employee.

Put this with making his highest paid QB happy - Dak and CeeDee are BS fans - and you see how Jerry's misguided brain is thinking.

you realize the last 15 years cowboys have had Dak and Romo, a 4th round pick and UDFA as their starting QBs.

and this will continue. its good. its making money. its keeping casual and fringe fans interested. cha ching. championship aspirations are secondary. doesn't matter

its Stephen that wants cheapo Schotty
Jerry wants Deion or Pete Carroll

Forget Witten, I think he can help change some culture in here, as you said we need QB help in the worst way!!

I am willing to give any of these guys a chance. Not Witten. Not yet, anyway. Who knows maybe he turns out to be a great motivator. We need to see him coaching NFL players first.

It still all comes down to Jerry Jones and the front office. It doesn't matter who they hire if they do not go out and sign, or re-sign, some players. If they do nothing again and rely on unproven young players or rookies, and allow some of their better players to walk then it might as well be Snotty or Witten. Maybe the Cowboys really do want to tank this thing and get the first pick in the draft so they can take a QB. Right now I can't figure out what the heck is going on in BoogerWorld.

give me ware instead

From what I heard on The Fan a little bit ago it’s about Stephens comfort. And he’s good buddies with Schotty apparently

Witten clearly showed his sense of entitlement late in his career. "I wanna be the starter even though I can barely move!!"
And then left us high and dry right before the draft to pursue his grossly failed broadcasting career. Knowing we had need, Philly traded ahead of us to grab Dallas Goedert.

I mentioned it yesterday, but the way this "search" has developed, Jerry should just hire programmers to design a digital "AI coach" that an owner can operate. Just have a hologram in coach outfit on the field game day. It's cheaper for Jerry and termination would be no problem.

I agree. Look at what Johnson just did in Chicago. He cleaned house and got rid of a bunch of coaches. No wonder nobody wants to work under Jerry, who hires the staff for his puppet coach.
