Cops pull over Google car, can't give ticket because no one was driving

I'm surprised someone didn't carjack it.

So it's not illegal to have a car driven by a camera? I'm guessing that's how the eyes of the road are viewed. So the car hits someone. What happens then? Can't beiieve that is allowed on the streets. I guess next in line is humanless commercial Airplane pilots.

They've never hit anyone, so who knows. Commercial planes already basically fly themselves, don't they?

Someone can jump in front of the car before the reaction time. A small child can run in front and the camera on top could not see him/her in time. Sure, planes can fly but what happens in bad weather. Do you want to trust a computer flying the plane then?

Agreed. This type of thing would never happen to a human driver.

The computer is better at handling a situation like that than a person would be.

I didn't research it.... No bumper sensors?
