Trevon Diggs just had surgery and he is expected to miss 8 months, barring any setbacks to his recovery. We saw setbacks occur with Bland this year where his timetable basically doubled.

Jourdan Lewis is having his best season as a Cowboy, where he price tag has certainly increased. He has become a must resign player.

Bland missed 80% of this season with a foot injury, where they tend to reoccur. DLaw for example has dealt with foot injuries for his entire career.

Promising rookie Carson had a strong camp, but really struggled throughout the season in which he lost he starting job. On top of that, injured his shoulder that forced him to end his season early.

Butler was a promising ps player that really started to take off, then tears his acl late in the season.

Corner is a premium position where you never have enough, where we cannot rule out taking 1 high this year as well as looking at fa options.

Big need for sure. Would love us to re-sign but I’d have zero issues with a CB drafted early.

I still have hopes for Carson. Loved him as a prospect and think once he gets healthy he can play.

Morrison is on the radar if questions are awnsered

If we lose, we would have a shot at Johnson?

Carson still in that development phase, he should get better. Really interested to see that Texas corner some are hyping play against Ohio State. Think there are some interesting corners to this year's class, some medicals will be important.

Could always go the fa route for a veteran insurance. Hughes played for Zimmer.. We also have that good corner class done with their 1st contract: Samuel Jr, Adebo, Stokes, etc.

Zimmer sounds like he may not be returning. Carson was not ready but we shouldn’t give up on him. Big issue on the board is we give up on guys to early. I am more concerned with his injuries than his play. Carson hurt his shoulder early in the season and has missed valuable reps because of the injury.

Barron is interesting. I think he is a Mathieu type player

I would of agreed with you prior to this season, he has played on a pro bowl level. Zimmer has even given him some play on the outside.
Pro bowl is a stretch. I think he's too limited to start all year on an elite defense. He should be a wily vet that comes in for spurts. He's the only cb with dawg in him but the talent level isn't high enough with him. Bland and diggs are mentally soft which is why the Bengals coach had no issue telling chase they were afraid of him. We need a Lewis type that is a REAL pro bowler.

Outside of Kicker Punter and KR
THIS WHOLE TEAM is a question mark.

RG and whatever position they choose to put Parsons in are the only two spots we should consider as not upgradable.
We have CEE DEE and then little else at WR
we have a backup RB and then nothing
OUR TE that we thought was making a big step up to elite status coming into this year regressed and we got a decent blocker and short yardage TE but that is it
QB whatever
OL we got some young guys but question marks about several

DL we got a couple of guys that could do well but that is it; no NT worth the name

LB we got a couple of young guys and a vet and Overshown who might never make it all the way back

CB we got lots of injury question marks; if healthy are starters are fine and we might have a slot guy but are they injury prone?

S we have guys who are OK but that is it

How bad is the injury though? Will it be something that would effect training camp?
Honestly, there hasn't been a lot of information come out about his hip surgery, recovery time, etc. I just wonder if NFL teams will be scared away in terms of using a first round pick on a guy who had hip surgery. There was also a rumor floating around that he might consider going back to ND for another year but that appears to have been shot down.

There was also a story from an online sports outlet that spoke to some NFL people and his draft grades were pretty wide ranged from being a 1st round guy to as low as a 3rd round projection. One scout said he thinks teams will be weary of his hip given that he was not the most explosive CB prospect.

Barron vs OSU is going to be awesome…looking forward to seeing if he can hold up.
