I would go back through old posts off that site, but I doubt they date back that far.

I seem to vaguely remember him talking about it before the story broke. Is my memory fried from it being 5:30AM in the morning, or do I still actually remember something?

You might be right. I dont remember. Its too early to remember things from a year ago. That long term memory bank dont open till 9:00a here in texas.
