Cortez needs some FG attempts

No FG attempts in SD thanks to Bledsoe and rather suspect SD corners.

Washington D will be a bit stiffer so I expect Cortez to get maybe 3 attempts this game. We will still win this game 20-3, but Cortez will need to show he can kick some FGs. I'd love to see him get some 45 yd attempts in this game just to settle some concerns regarding this position. Oh and he better start kicking the ball into the endzone on kickoffs. Our special teams needs as much help from him as we can get .. and hopefully his tackling days are behind him.

yeah agree with the others...who cares about fg's if you are getting 4 or 5 PAT's a game

We got to get our kicker issue settled guys. Cortez needs to kick a FG longer than a 20 yard extra point. You really want to get into a close game where you need the kicker to kick a critical 45 yarder and not know if Cortez is the man?

OK, how bout we get up 42-0 and THEN give cortez some 45 yard FG attempts. Any better? Either way he needs to settle what could become a MAJOR issue for our team.

When was the last time we won/played a game w/o a FG? It's been a LONG time. I'm not complaining about the lack of FG's.

Like Aikman said....anytime you have to settle for a FG, you are that much closer to losing.

I'll take extra points over field goals any day. If only one of the extra points last Sunday had of been a field goal we probably would have lost. We definitely would have been tied at the end of regulation.
