Could it get any worse for Boise?

With the Big East getting serious about inviting TCU, and they would be crazy to decline that invite, Boise's new conference is worse than the one they just left.

Boise joined the MWC when it still had Utah, TCU and BYU, now it looks like all three will be gone and Air Force will more than likely go independent. That leaves Boise and the bottom of that conference. So now we get a weak sauce conference and a crappy TV contract. Woot!

Surely, some conference out there needs BSU added to its lineup! Big 12 North, Boise is a lovely place to travel to! Come on step up to the plate and take us out of this miserable situation.

Only if you change your field to polka dots.

:lmao: Jack hates it when you bag on his turf.

Seriously though. That needs to be taken into account if Boise is invited to a FOR REALZ conference, especially if its the big12 North. :p: God I hate that painted field.

LOL Its not that I mind negative comments about the turf, its that arguments always denigrate to backhanded jabs regarding the turf and why that is why Boise is not worthy. I cannot imagine that BSU would change the color of their field, it is a defining trademark for the team. Would Oklahoma lose the covered wagon? Would Texas shoot the Bull? Don't come to me about how the blue gives Boise an advantage, that has been investigated and found to be false a number of times. It is a symbol of the team.

The new turf looks pretty good on TV, the old turf did look pretty crappy I have to concur with that assumption. It didn't look much better in person especially if it was wet, but the new turf looks good.

We will just have to agree to disagree. You can't compare mascots and painted fields, Jack.

Painted fields are NOT tradition. They are just eye-sores. :(

Mine Eyes!!! Now in HD?????....holy Tragedy!

Boise should put on a show of good faith and wear white to all of their home games next year.

Absolutely, as soon as the teams that wear green on green do the same thing, then yes they should.

Don't pick on Baylor, you might have to play them if you get your Big 12 wish.:D

PS don't mind the Aggie, they are always entitled but never successful so he's probably just prepping to blame Aggie losses on color schemes.

I'm down, Nebraska and Colorado are bolting, we need some decent teams to keep the conference together

To Hell with the conferences...

Playoff with the top 8...

Alternate between the major bowls as to who gets the money game...

It's simple really...

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If the Big East takes TCU and a few of the Conference USA schools, it will kick-start a chain of events that will be good for college football:

  • The NCAA will go forward with that extra BCS game at Jerry World.
  • The C-USA/MWC "Play-in" championship game to go to BCS Bowl.
  • One more "At Large" Bid.

Besides, it's obvious that the football landscape is changing. Look at how weak the ACC and Big East are this season. Only the SEC can say that they are a truly dominant conference, maybe the Big 10.

They should get rid of the Big Least automatic qualifier. They don't even have a team in the BCS top-25 and could easily finish the season that way. It's sad that the Orange Bowl is forced to take on a 2nd-rate program.

My question is wth does Idaho have to do with the east? Thats as bad as having Dallas in the NFC east.

You gotta play the big boys to be a big boy.

The big teams take a pay cut when traveling to Boise, so if you are Boise State, you've gotta be willing to sign a number of deals that do not involve 1 and 1 (travel / home) arrangements.

Give any SEC school the Boise schedule, and you'd get a similarly great record.

Boise State is a big fish in a very, very small pond. Put 'em in the SEC and they'd get eaten alive. ... just another Vanderbilt, but without the academic rigor.
