Can someone throw me out an opinion on this... I need to hear some Cowboy voices on this please... Mods, if this has been brought up before, please direct me to that link... I've been trying to get some hits on this topic for sometime now and all I get is my threads bounced or posted elsewhere... Gimme some stuff people.

Q: Do you believe that not having a consistent offensive coordinator is a problem for the Cowboys?

Lindsay Johnson

TAYLOR: I think that could be a problem, but I don't have a feel for how much having too many cooks * Tony Sparano, Todd Haley and Chris Palmer * in the offensive-game-plan kitchen is affecting the team. The bigger problem might be that neither Sparano nor Haley has ever been a coordinator. The Cowboys have no patience for a learning curve, so the job might be a little too big for each of them – as this team doesn't have an offensive identity right now.

I would tend to think that this can't be the easiest way to go about things. I do think Bill is putting in a heavy dose of his input so this may work in terms of play calling. But, I do worry that the three guys here (OL, QB and WR) burn alot of valuable time and mental energy on this gameday setup. You would think that that would cut time from them making sideline adjustments, say like inside protection schemes.

Dang skippy on the inner protection. Teams will continue to flood the gaps between tackle and guard until the situation gets remedied...

Furthermore, I never was impressed with Chris Palmer... esp when he was with Houston, they ran his butt out of there.

I think our offensive coordinator "is" the problem. Bill even said in his PC today he is going to be a little more involved in the play calling, on both sides.
