Are people selecting against ET on a lot of these picks hoping he falls close to us? I believe you can get a RT soemtime after the first. Earl Thomas is my pick...they shore up the secondary real quick

I agree. This draft overall is fairly logical (with some very minor exceptions) so far: picks 1-17 all seem at least somewhat reasonable. There are a bunch of teams between now and 27 that would strongly consider Thomas, but this is strong draft and most everyone (espcially in the top 1/2 of the draft) has multiple needs.

This does show the value of the middle of the 1st round...there are a lot of really strong (maybe franchise level at thier position) players still on the board.
