Cowboys 90's Oline or the Eagles Oline this year? Which was better?

It’s way too early to speculate on that. Body of work is easy but this is a question for 10 years in the future

Not sure I'd have to look at the eagles more closely and weigh the competition these days cause it isn't the same

Running quarterbacks make life on offensive lines much easier.
Top of my head I would have to go Homersville

Not really, running QB’s can make life difficult for the line. You never really know where the QB is going on some plays.

Impossible to make that comparison.... to compare 2 all time elite units, from different eras, and surrounding offensive "skill" players.

If you run a power blocking scheme, I'd take Dallas' 90 line. They could move mountains.

If your offense is based on zone blocking and movement...Eagles may have the best oLine ever for that. HOF Kelce easily most athletic C ever, even now at his age... and Lane Johnson can run OR pound...and is best oLineman in the league at any position. 3 probowlers, 2 probowl 1st alternates, 2 All Pros, 2 HOFers.

But also, to REALLY make a decision here, Troy Aikman/Emmitt/Irvin/JayNo/others from 1993 would have to jump in time machine and play behind Eagles current line, and Hurts/Brown/DevontaS/DallasG would have to go BACK in time and play behind 1993 Dallas line...to see if either offense had an uptick or downtick in play behind the other line.

TLDR version: they boff really, really good.

Straight ahead power blocking scheme: Dallas line from the 90’s is the best ever, even better than Lombardi’s Packer lines.

Motion offense line? I‘d take current Philly line over any line.

Can‘t go wrong with either line. Both lines better than the Hogs, I have no doubt.

Don’t we need to wait a little longer in order to draw these comparisons ?

Eagles line this year is not as good as the Cowboys line was in 2016 let alone the 90s.

The Cowboys had 3 first team all pros on the line in 2016.

Rebuilding the offensive line should be a top priority for the Cowboys.
Agreed. The Cowboys have a decent amount of talent on the Oline. Hope this new Oline coach does a better job of improving their blocking and winning their battles at the line of scrimmage. Hope he also knows where to play the players at positions they will be most effective. He could use another good Olineman or two. Make them all hit a weighted sled all summer long, plus run lots of sprints and become quicker at the snap of the ball and drive better. That will make them better.

Im sure I know what most will say.
You've come to the right place, govnor. Right you are.
I would say Cowboys 1990s. They have 3 rings each.
Eagles have lots of proving to do, good lad, lots of proving.

This is nice. Cozy spot with tea and biscuits and Durbin Diesel. Quite groovy.

There's a difference between running QBs and scrambling QBs. One is by design.
But I understand what you're saying.
