CBS’s Super Bowl Dream Would Pretty Much Be Everyone Else’s Nightmare: “The first day of the NFL playoffs drew the best preliminary television ratings in a decade. The Cowboys’ 34-14 win over the Eagles on NBC on Saturday night earned a 19.6 overnight rating and 32 share, the highest for a first-round game since the 1999 season. The Jets’ 24-14 win over the Bengals drew a 16.9/31, the best for the early game in 10 years. The average for the two games was up 12 per cent from last season.” No surprise that American’s Team and a team from New York scored lavishly for the networks, but what’s the bigger Super Bowl slurpfest nightmare, Jets-Cowboys or Jets-Vikings? Gotta be the latter.

I would crap my pants if we played the Jets in the Superbowl.

It would be a bonanza for the NFL......two quarterbacks of Mexican ancestory.

Is he trying to imply that a Vikings Super Bowl would get more viewers?

Not likely.

Not likely at all. The Cowboys are a bigger draw than Favre vs. his former team. The Favre machine is media driven prima donna nonsense. The Cowboys ratings speak for themselves.
