Has been happening here and there between teams for a while now (last 6 -10 years).
Starting next year, it will become the norm after the NFL and NFLPA agree to reduce the preseason to two games - with the structure of having two joint practices leading up to the preseason exhibitions.
Better way to guage the younger players on teams to succeed in a shortened period to assess their ability make the roster.
