When McCarthy had his after season PC and he said a lot of the moves with Coaches were things they started talking about last year...i wondered if we started making moves in preparation for this change?
Definitely agree about bringing a FB back into the offense. When McCarthy had his after season PC and he said a lot of the moves with Coaches were things they started talking about last year...i wondered if we started making moves in preparation for this change?
I am wondering if, as mentioned in the ariticle, Tolbert is an ideal fit in the WCO? One thing they did really well in GB was draft Wrs.
I just want to see us get a FB...i love what they did with Ripkowski in 2016....
Or linemanDefinitely agree about bringing a FB back into the offense.
An actual FB though. Not converted WRs and TEs lol
How about a converted half back?Definitely agree about bringing a FB back into the offense.

You gotta love this line from the article...You can always find "good reads" from fan sites.
Much like you I get my cowboys news from rival forumsYou can always find "good reads" from fan sites.
Built?
We've been joking around with this but I actually think he can become a Richie Anderson type of fullback and do well. How about a converted half back?
I mean, sure, maybe get a LB, and CB in the draft. But other than that, we need to load up with offensive weapons. This is a great draft for backs.. If we drafted two, I wouldn't be upset. This guy is full of crap. If Dallas is really gonna run a WCO they need at least two more receivers that run good routes and get separation. I disagree with him about Ferguson too. He looks like a really good seam-gashing TE to me.
The WCO will replace all those curls with slants and outs, routes that let guys catch the ball on the move. There's a reason the Cowboys YAC production sucked under Moore.
Points . . . that must have been the reason, because that's what Kellen's offense did. This guy is full of crap. True, but the WCO would fit Dak and this Offense better once they get the right pieces. This article basically tells us that this team isnt built well at all for McCarthys offense hahahah
We have lamb and nobody else
All modern NFL offenses are rooted heavily in the West Coast passing scheme. Dak has been running heavy west coast concepts since he’s been here.Built?
They have CeeDee and ...?
Pollard not under contract.
Schultz not under contract.
Ferguson has some good YAC runs but he is not the prototype YAC TE physically.
Is Dak a WCO QB?
Ferg and Hender can get YACThis article basically tells us that this team isnt built well at all for McCarthys offense hahahah

Yup. One that runs right at the first defender. Perfect! How about a converted half back?
that's what I've been saying, its more of a philosophical change in the development of game plans and in game play calling then a big change in scheme. hopefully much better run schemes and dedicated to the run and feed off that for PA and quick passing game where the D wont know if a run and or pass is coming simply by alignments or the Qb playing under center or in shotgun... etc. the vanilla run schemes drive me crazy at times. All modern NFL offenses are rooted heavily in the West Coast passing scheme. The difference between what we’ve been doing and what McCarthy did in GB is less about route concepts and more about spacing and the specific route combinations on a given play. They were better about getting guys wide open in space.
