Dak Prescott may be in the best shape of his life as he continues to recover from last season's hamstring injury. But our Mike Fisher finds the truth behind the weight-loss rumors.

FRISCO - The injury recovery for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott continues to move in the right direction as we near training camp.

After suffering a torn hamstring in Week 8 of the 2024 season, the former All-Pro QB has taken his rehab very seriously.

But an internet troll has spread the word that Dak has lost 30 pounds. And now a teammate is piggybacking on that with an obvious joke ... that Dak's has lost weight to the tune of losing 50 pounds.

His recovery from his hamstring-torn-off-the-bone injury is crucial as he enters Year 10 with the Cowboys. He is 31 years old and won't be getting any younger ... so his health and fitness is key.

And he's getting healthy. And he's already fit. "Fit'' at 226 ... pretty much like always.

He had to lose the weight because his calf couldnt handle how much he weighed previously and gave up.

He's obviously not in the best shape of his life, but he's looking fit. Will his body hold up at his age and wear and tear? Only time will tell.

He needs to get thinner. Getting thicker hasn't exactly helped with injuries the past few years. At least with some weight off he may be more mobile in the pocket

He does look leaner and skinnier and he only lost 3 pounds. So he must be doing something right. I’m hoping his leaner physique takes less pressure off his legs.

if i had my way, which I'm aware I dont, the next headline about Dak id care to see would be:

nfc championship game
on the road
facing a top 5 defense
down 5
with 90 seconds left
no timeouts
and he needs to drive the team 75 yards to punch it in the end zone
and he actually does it.

I agree, being thick hasn’t worked out for him. It’s not like he is suffering rib or torso injuries, it’s been leg injuries. Hopefully being lean helps with that.
