Cowboy's Defense

We saw how jitters can effect a QB early in a playoff game, and we saw how a team's solid defense can give their own QB extra time to get into the grove. If Tampa would of went up 14 - 0 in those first 2 possessions the game would have unfolded completely different and Dak wouldn't of had that buffer at 0-0 to get comfortable. If you want to win this next game or any game in these playoffs/SB the Cowboy's defense will have to keep getting Dak the ball back to get him comfortable as quickly as possible. Yes a team can come back from being down, but the further you get into these playoffs the less likely that is to happen.

I'll be keeping my eye on the Cowboy's defense because i know i can't expect this Cowboy's offense to come out on fire and stay on fire 3 games in a row from this point on.

49ers are a tough matchup. Their threats in the passing game aren’t the wideouts but deebo and CMC. You have to stop them and that’s a tall order. On offense we have to stick with the run and protect dak

I am so pumped up. I wish it were Sunday afternoon.. I agree with RayMan the pressure should be on the 40whiners. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is picking SF (except us more clearly seeing Cowboy fans). There are variables for sure and I am not predicting a Cowboy win but we can damn sure play with these guys.

Seriously gonna have to play physical and beat them up, especially that QB.

I would not give up catches to their threats and EXPECT to get them to the ground...that is a classic "prevent" defense.

I would stick to their threats like glue and force Purdy to make tough throws into tight windows. If you play off and let them catch it...you are playing right into their hands. Those reads are easy and those throws are easy.

Dak's first three passes all hit receivers in the hands. It wasn't him that had the jitters. Now if you want to tell me that he might have started to get that sinking feeling after watching those first three passes be dropped I'm with you but that wasn't jitters.. That was just plain on WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!!! He then proceeded to hit what was it 11 in a row and 13 of the next 14? If not for the drops he would have started the game with 14 completions in a row. I think the lad might be in a good place mentally...

I agree
These guys do more damage after the catch. That’s why they are tough. You have to be on them from the snap because they can take a -3 yard pass for a 25 yard gain regularly

Brandon Aiyuk is no slouch at WR.
He’s not but the biggest threat to me is the RAC that CMC and Deebo brings. A simple swing pass gets them 15 yards. It’s easier to cover the guy down the field in a route
Both are threats but the pass rush can help with a WR where the back can be a quick pass negating the rush
That’s why they are so tough, they challenge you at every level and they have a really good defense on top of that
Some may not agree but to be they are a tougher matchup than almost any team in the playoffs besides maybe the chiefs

His first several throws were a little outside of where he wanted them, but catchable. Whether is was jitters or just needing to get his arm in sync with his eyes, I don't know, but he certainly got there.

Frankly, I would double Kittle and bracket Aiyuk with a safety like Izzy. Take my chances with single coverage on Samuel with Diggs.

That first drive by the cowboys was literally 2 or 3 dropped passes by the WR's. The 2nd drive was the dreaded, try to establish the run with the horrid Zeke. I like the idea on the first drive, the WR's just need to catch the football.

Purdy will feel the pressure cooker this week. Its a different animal playing Dallas for the first time when the stakes are so high. We will have a homefield advantage over the niners in this game btw. I almost guarantee it. That fact isnt getting nearly enuff mention. Niners may get the shock of their lives. Dak wont be denied.

I’m not worried about the defense.
I’m not worried about the offense
The 49ers should be the ones that are worried. They’re walking around with the heads up in the air already. That’s a sure loss.

I hear ya, but Diggs needs to shine and be that dawg.
Diggs does tackle,
One game where he backed off a little bit. And these people are complaining. He’s going to do what he hast to do. Make no mistake about it. There’s no tomorrow in this team knows it.
