Tyler has been exposed since the Eagles game. He’s too raw to expect solid performances every week. If he falls off anymore, Peters will take that spot I guess.

I would assume they want him to be the primary backup at LT when Smith returns as well. Smith would slide to LG and McGovern is depth which would make us stronger on paper.

I remember Callahan once talking about how a OL coach needs to make sure his five best players are on the field at the same time and figure out how to do that.

He hasn't been a disaster but Tyler's play has tailed off drastically. Maybe they are inching towards a change. Even before Tyron returns.

Yeah it sounds like they will move Tyler to guard and have Peters be the swing tackle. Not a bad idea.

Side note the line runs block as good as anyone, why do they seem to pass block without using play action. Tyler struggles on the edges in obvious passing downs. Minnesota is going to be the biggest problem we have all season because they have two premier edge rushers.
