Pretty sure the first game against the Bucs impacted the offensive rankings. It was that bad but we are slowly climbing back.
Great news, but it says to me that opponents will make rushing against this defense an even higher priority. Fixing the run defense takes this defense to the level of great.
Beat me to itThe Rams have struggled for sure but if they can run the ball on us, that's not a good sign.

It’s gonna happen. Mark it. We are weak at MLB. LVE isn’t very good. The Rams have struggled for sure but if they can run the ball on us, that's not a good sign.

Have watched LVE? While there may be other problems. He is the main problem. The problems with the run defense are not all on LVE. They are giving up some big runs outside the tackles and it looks like the DEs and outside LBs are not getting off their blocks either. When t he DTs are double teamed the DEs have to control the inside and outside gaps. It is not happening, even against TEs. LVE is part of the problem but the bigger problem is closer to the LOS. If the DE loses it puts the outside LB in a bind.
And I haven’t forgotten how they destroyed us in the playoffs by running all over us.
I realize that it’s now a different coordinator and defense overall, but McVay is a brilliant coach and he certainly sees where the weakness remains in the Cowboys defense. I expect the Rams to make a concerted effort to run the football.
