There really isn't much difference between starters and the 2nd tier players. Some of it is just getting the reps. Some of it is politics a high round pick gets pushed while low round and UDFAs get pushed down.

Darius Jackson ran a low 4.4 forty coming out of Eastern Michigan and at 220 lbs. Give him the rock and let's see if he can be the RB . NEXT MAN UP!!! LETS GO!!!

Unless zeke gets traded he wont make the 53.
I think Pollard is a WR,Weber played spot duty at OSU,,Pollard & Weber are rookies,Morris is old,and then you have a Carbon Copy of Elliott in Jackson who I always liked even when we drafted him in the 7th round when Elliott was the 1st round pick that year.

I think weber is more of a zeke imo. But not meaning to sound like I'm hating on jackson but 3 years still hasnt caught on anywhere. But at the same time I never buy any hype when it comes to this team until I see it when it counts.

Darius Jackson is a practice squad calibre player at best and will never be anything more!

He sucks. If Zeke sits, Pollard starts.

Jackson isn't a second-tier player. He's a muti-cut camp-body player, just tantalizing enough with his size and speed to hang around in the league a few years on practice squads and the bottom of rosters.

The Cowboys don't have a new starting RB.

Zeke will be on the field week one when real football counts.

Agree.

If Jerry doesn't pay Zeke, we will have a repeat of the 1993 fiasco.

Pay Zeke and get back to football.

Running backs cant produce if they are not on the field. Meaning there are plenty of backup running backs in this league that can produce, just as well as the starters, if giving a chance.

Hand the ball off 20 times a game to Pollard, Weber, or Jackson and watch them produce numbers near to Zeke's.

This season at least, the Cowboys won't just call out ol' number 2. There is a variety of talents as well as strong depth in the positional group.

Yep, Jackson's 1596 yards rushing in his entire four year career is just the tonic this team needs.

Panties are on a bunch because the guy with 3698 yards rushing his sophomore and junior years is wanting a raise. So let's introduce a guy that has never shown he can be the featured back with success and name him the starter.

I must admit the Zeke hate shocks me. But the idea he is just a guy is what completely floors me.

Maybe it's twenty-three years of nothing that makes people like this.

I'm not going to hype up Jackson but I think some of you guys are underselling how much this team likes him. Its going to be tough for him to make this team but I think as of right now they like him better than Pollard.
