After the debacle I witnessed yesterday the Cowboys have one of the worst odds of reaching the Super Bowl. They’re 0-8 in road playoff games since their last road playoff win in 92 and would have to win 3 straight road games to reach the Super Bowl. Good luck! Lol

They’re 0-8 in road playoff games since their last road playoff win in 92? but what does that have to do with this team?

It points to a trend. It’s not easy for any team to win a road playoff game, which is why you try to position yourself the best you can heading into the playoffs. For most teams home field is an advantage. Four of the Cowboys five losses this season were on the road. They haven’t been a good road team this season.

Odds are too favorable for Philly and Dallas and not favorable enough for Minnesota and cincy.

these players were not even on the team dating back to the 90's, to me it is a meaningless stat. I agree it is hard to win in post season road games and have been a 500 club on the road.

Seriously, if I were betting a million and the oddsmakers told me that they would give me my money back if I bet on the Cowboys if they lost, I wouldn't waste my time placing THAT BET! Cowboys with Prescot at QB aren't winning didley squat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brady has bought the whole organization BOOTS, HATS, CHAPS and SPURS to wear during the game as Prescot is being hog tied and branded by Todd Bowels and his defense!

I’m sure most of these players are aware of the stat and sometimes things like that can get into players heads, just like Tom Brady being 7-0 against the Cowboys. I wouldn’t even be aware of either stat, if it wasn’t mentioned by those who get paid to talk football. Any time something becomes a trend you have to put some weight into it. Maybe you don’t but I do.

I agree with the mental aspect of more recent things I would say most players don't give a damn about things that happened before they got there. Having said that Brady has not lost vs the Cowboys in recent times say the last 3 times they faced off. This team has the chance to exercise their demons and I think as player that is all you can ask for is the chance to go out and compete. Let the media play with the stats and the numbers. I recall when they said no team ever made the SB after losing the 1st 2 games until Dallas did it. Or no team with Rushing leader ever winning the SB until Dallas did. This team just need to focus in on Tampa Bay do that and they give themselves a great chance of advancing

It took all time great teams to buck the trend of reaching the Super Bowl after an 0-2 start and winning the Super Bowl with a rushing leader. However, the teams the Cowboys have had the past 2+ decades haven’t been able to buck some trends. The teams they’ve had that were either inconsistent or not playing well entering the playoffs went one and done. We’ll see how it goes on Monday night.

This team is 8-1 at home and 4-4 on the road. Winning 3 road playoff games is a tall order, to put it mildly. Let's see if they can get 1 and go from there.
