It has been a few days since the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Chicago Bears in a convincing 49-29 victory, with the Cowboys scoring the most points in a game across the NFL this season. Despite this great victory and how both the defense and offense performed, there was a looming shadow over the officiating of the game in the trenches, in particularly the Bears’ offensive line not being called for offensive holding on multiple occasions.

84 Bears have the record with 72 sacks which is an average of 4.5/game

Wowza.... the '84 Bears have the record with 72 sacks.....but surprisingly Dallas had 62 in 1985. So it is on par with those teams. Of course in a 16 game season. Now there are 17 games.

This is why I have a problem with more holding calls not being called by our opponents. Some have mentioned that we're not that far off from other teams as far as the number of holds called. But we're the top pressure team. Generally, if you are getting more pressure, you draw more holds. We should be leading the league in holds called against us. That we're not illustrates that there is an issue.

I agree but what I worry about is a massive sack in a big time game at a big time spot where our pass rushers are penalized for something....I'm ok with the lack of holding calls if there is also a lack of roughing the passer

LOL.... Can you imagine Jerry going onto the field on pregame warmups dressed as a blind ref with cane and a huge yellow penalty flag in his back pocket being escorted by Stephen. Goodell would not only fine, but suspend and force Jerry to rename the team based on grounds of misappropriation of the Cowboys name, it is a insult and degradation to all Cowboys from John Wayne to Clint Eastwood, Hop Along Cassidy to Roy Rogers. The audacity.. GO Dallas Football Team.

They have eight, five INT's returned and three fumbles returned for touchdowns. There is a three way tie for 2nd place with six defensive TD's. The Eagles are one of them.

In 2014 the Cowboys only had 28 sacks the entire season and that was a 12-4 team. The lack of a pass rush ended up doing them in against Green Bay in the playoffs. We couldn’t get to a one legged Aaron Rodgers. There’s so much talk about the 85 Bears but it was actually the 84 Bears that set the all-time sack record with 72. A lot of the sacks the 84 and 85 Bears registered would’ve been wiped out by roughing the passer penalties under todays rules.
