“There are no East Carolina’s in the NFL.” Said Jimmy Johnson. On any given Sunday always applies. The talent level isn’t as sharply divided as teams records.

The SB hype was entirely too early. Looked like the team had begun buying into it as well. There’s much football left to be played and we still haven’t faced a legit SB contender yet.

I can’t help but think about what happened in Oregon Saturday as the games are played on the field not in Hollywood . All of this talk about the Cowboys are best team in NFL need to be put on hold , on the back burner , etc . Probably at least until we can beat several SB contenders and I’d suggest closer to January.

Injuries play a role . We had several key starters out yesterday which our OL was a big concern heading into season if health could hold up. And some of the concerns of new Texas Coast offense reared its ugly head again in Redzone which has already been called out. Our defense doesn’t appear to be as dominating without turnovers and a big performance by Parsons.

In the NFL you are as good as your last performance . And right now that isn’t as good as many thought . Good news is the next game is an opportunity to turn things around . And we better not take the 1-2 Patriots lightly. Our next few games could be be even more humbling.

Yea, but the Chiefs lost to an up and coming lions team. We lost to a team that might have the 1st overall pick in next year's draft
The cardinals look better than you think. They were smoking giants and Washington too till they let up. Against us they wanted win and not tank.

The Chiefs lost their season opener at home. It happens.
Yup but they didn’t get curbed stomped. Big difference in how they lost compared to how the Cowboys lost yesterday. Lions are a team that are expected to make the playoffs. Chiefs were at least competitive and could have pulled that game out.
Cowboys were dominated by a team that will have a top 3 pick. They had blown assignments, crazy amount of penalties and couldn’t stop the run or Joshua Dobbs.
All this from the so called best defense in the NFL lol.
McCarthy and Quinn failed big time by letting this team eat cheese after 2 weeks. Gutless and heartless yesterday. A lot of questions about this overall team that won’t be answered until January. I see another playoff letdown coming if they don’t start taking every game serious. These clowns thought they whisk just show up to the field and win. Horrible mind set from the top on down. This is what continues to happen when your owner sings praises about how this is the most talented team he has ever had all before playing one game. The Jerry Jones effect.

Yea, as Cowboys we’ve always had a target on our backs but with this SB and Best Team hype that was swirling it provides an even bigger target especially for bottom dwelling teams.

Did anyone seriously believe Dallas is untouchable? It's hard to win a single game.
And, for whatever reason, Arizona plays Dallas very well in Arizona.

Right..

For the record Cardinals had beaten Cowboys last 6 of 7 times in the desert . There is definitely something going on out there .

Uh yeah. Lots going on. Most notably , we have as many fans out there as they do. That probably pisses the players off.

I imagine the fact their HC comes from Egirls had an impact. He prob has a blueprint.

Plus it’s fairly easy to have a pregame pep talk like Oregon HC had. David/ Goliath. The Cowboys, etc

Cowboys looked starstruck . Like they thought the best teams always win. Lol

Our owner even wanted to rest some key players who were nursing injuries who normally could have played.

It’s same every year. This team goes with the health of the OL and its ability to stop the run. Bass doesn’t belong in the nfl. No Zach or Biadaz either. It’s a recipe for disaster. We will beat nobody giving up 250 yards rushing.
