I read about this yesterday, but don't exactly remember where.

Not sure if this has been reported yet, but...

The Cowboys are looking at switching their playbooks to using iPads. The reasoning they gave is that it would save about 5,000 sheets of paper per week in printing the playbooks and if one gets stolen, it can be remotely wiped. They said the only thing that is really holding it up is the a security concern. They are very concerned about the apparent ease of remotely hack the device allowing the attacker to gain complete control over the device.

I read that the whole NFL is looking into doing that.

The concern about security is no less or greater than the same about the Android platform. In fact it's been noted that the Android platform may be easier to hack because of looser restrictions for app submissions etc.

Stick with paper. It's cheaper and better for the environment.
