Cowboys named 'top landing spot' for disgruntled 25-year-old superstar

Kill the thread......lol

James Cook is looking for a big payday, so that could take the Cowboys out of the mix from a financial standpoint,
especially with George Pickens entering the final year of his deal. If the Pickens deal pans out, Dallas may want to pay him, but they wouldn't be able to do so and still give Cook what he wants.

If he wants the biggest pay day he'll wait to sign before the first game he'll flirt with us Micah and Dak will take him out for a night on the town, he will tour the boring facility

Is it any more far-fetched than when the Eagles acquired Barkley
Yes, it is way more far fetched. The eagles acquired Saquon Barkley last year in March at the beginning of free agency not June. He was an unrestricted free agent.

The other difference and it’s huge - James Cook is still under contract with the Bills. Barkley was an unrestricted free agent last year. Huge difference.

March is when you acquire top shelf FA talent, not June. The ONLY way the Cowboys could acquire James Cook at this point is a trade. That’s not going to happen.

The Dallas Cowboys have been in search of an RB1 for several years, and despite addressing the position in the NFL offseason, there is still room for improvement. Could disgruntled Buffalo Bills star James Cook be the answer?

NO NOPE Not chance.. Why didn't the world would you think they would trade for a disgruntled running back when they didn't pick a high one in the draft 2 years in a row they had two free agents in Nick Chubb and Derek Henry that were very doable and they passed you'd think they're going to go after this guy's not even anywhere in their league..

If they were looking for a top running back they would have picked one in the draft or they would have got Derrick Henry last year or Nick Chubb this year they made it clear at least for now it's never really been their thing to not have a top name at running back to go by rbc they're going a different direction they're counting on the offensive line in a mixture of running backs to get it done there is no way in Hell they are going after James Cook he is a tier 2 running back..

Not saying he's bad but he's not worth trading for... He wants to be paid and I'm pretty sure I saw article somewhere last year he was expecting to be in that 11 to $15 million range and that's why he's not showing up he believes he's Derek Henry he believes he's Saquan Barkley he believes he's even in the conversation with Christian Caffrey those are the guys who are making the most money but he's not he's delusional the last thing I want here is a delusional running back that thinks he's worth that much and is mad unless he gets it jerry's not paying that and he's definitely not giving up a draft pick for it..

If this guy was on the free agent market and he is being realistic and took six to $9 million maybe he'd be worth a look but no way in this situation would I think to touch this guy....

Exactly how are the Cowboys the top landing spot given the above statement?
It's not just a big payday, it's delusional, he thinks he's worth 11 to $15 million, he thinks he's in the league with Saquan Barkley and Derek Henry and he's not..

yes he's a very good player but he's a tier 2 running back meaning he's in the next group after you get past the best running backs and that's not a bad thing but you're delusional when you're demanding more than you're worth and why would the Cowboys or the Bills pay it they're not going to it's not a Cowboys thing when you're looking for a big payday and that big payday is way above your pay grade you're going to be sitting for a while..

I'm sure they'll come to some kind of deal with the bills because I can only see the bills doing that because you also have to give up a draft pick in a trade and then get a disgruntled player who wants too much I don't think it's happening for any NFL team so the bills are the most likely team to land this guy it is not going to be for what he's asking for....

IMHO 6-9M is his payscale..i mean I might go 9.5 but thats not what hes demanding as of last i heard him talk earlier this season... I put them in the same area as James Conner who got a two year $19 million extension last year which have only about 10 million is guaranteed so if you keep him 1 0r 2 years its about 9.5 per..

First of all read what Bob said he's right the second of all this guy is not in Saquans wheelhouse, not even before what he did last year,

he's 2nd tier, Barclays always been a tier 1 his price range is maybe 9.5 million that's where I see it and then you'd have to trade for him as well he wants more than that but why would the Cowboys or any other team offer up a trade pick now this far into the offseason and pay the guy when he's demanding when he's asking for more than he's worth..

I feel like he'll get something in that area of $10 million but he's not getting the 15 plus that he's wanting he's asking for more than he's worth.... That's the difference these guys are free agents you're talking about derrick Henry Saquan Barkley, they weren't offering a draft pick to a disgruntled player than having to get him and then workout a contract...

This guy is James Conner, I mean even if you feel like he's a step above he's in that range and that's what he got two years $19 million but when somebody's delusional and a player thinks he sew Barkley like you using him in the same sentence no they're not the same running back...

Exactly and the guys asking for more than what he's worth plus the Cowboys were interested they would have got a high draft pick and the top half of the draft last year or the year before or picked up Derrick Henry off of free agency or Nick Chubb more recently if that's what they were looking for they were already done it why would they turn around now and change their philosophy for a player who's demanding more than he's worth and you have to give up a draft pick it doesn't make any sense whatsoever....

A few. Reader, Buckner, Avia. I think the bar for "dominant" for a 1-tech is really just a run stopping machine.
I mean I’d take them all but dominant seems strong but either way I’d take any of them. But would I pay big money for one? Tough question.
