--FS Tony Parrish was claimed off waivers from the 49ers. The Cowboys released Skyler Green, their fourth-round pick, to make room for Parish. The Cowboys must pick up the remaining prorated portion of Parrish's $1 million salary this season, which would cost them $236,000 for the final four games.

--WR Patrick Crayton has 31 receptions for 468 yards and three touchdowns. They are all career highs, as Crayton's emergence has allowed the Cowboys to scale back their use of the two-tight end sets.

"I think I'm comfortable with playing Patrick pretty extensively," coach Bill Parcells said. "He'll block and he'll catch. He'll do both of those things, and he can do a passable job in the return game. ... That's a valuable thing for a receiver. He's smart. He can play more than one position. He's a good blocker. I think Patrick is maturing as a player and a person in the league. Now, I don't know if he's ever going to be a star, but if he's smart, he can parlay what he is for quite a while."

--T Marc Colombo has played beyond expectations. He has given up only one sack this season and has not been called for any holding penalties.

--QB Drew Bledsoe is making the difficult transition from starter to backup, and coach Bill Parcells is worried about him staying in tune with everything.

"I think you obviously have a concern about that when things of this nature happen," Parcells said. "And I would hope that he is diligent in his preparation because you're probably going to need him to do something. And I would hope he would be ready to do that if we needed him."

--QB Tony Romo was named NFC Player of Month for November. In his first full month as an NFL starting quarterback, Romo completed 85 of 117 passes (72.6 percent) for 1,124 yards with nine touchdowns and one interception for an NFL-best 124.7 passer rating. Romo posted a passer rating of at least 100.0 in three of the four games and guided Dallas to a 3-1 record.

It just gets better and better everyday...

I like the Parrish pick up at Free Safety, my only concern is when he'll be comfortable enough in the system to step in and contribute.

Man, I've never been a Bledsoe fan, but you gotta feel for a guy that lost his job to Brady and Romo.

Definitely an extreme case of de'javu.

I actually read an article last week that suggested Bledsoe to the Browns. Not because he is such a great QB or playmaker, but because benching him midseason is where the magic is.:laugh2:

Well, that's gotta feel better than if he had lost it to a Q or Hutch.

I think he's been in the wrong place at the right time twice now. Too bad for him as he'll probably not be elected into the HOF.

AND he lost his job to JP Losman when he was with the Bills.

Three strikes and you retire . . .

I bet down the road Bledsoe will see the humor in this. I can see him talking about his career and about losing his starting job but then going on to say that at least he lost his starting job both times to 2 of the NFL's great QBs & not to any slouch guys. Don't quite see J.P.Losman in same way; Bills just didn't bring Bledsoe back & thus he didn't have chance to actually compete against Losman who wasn't very good in his first year--unlike Brady & Romo, particularly Romo.

Didn't he almost die in New England? His lung collapsed ... something like that.

Bledsoe has taken a lot of physical punishment over the years.

Down the road, I bet he's thankful for the life he's earned for his children (financial advantages) and the fact that he left the game in better physical shape than he might have....

Ahhh...

Colombo...

Another player that fans thought would be a wasted pick up after a couple games...

why, oh why people don't have patience is beyond me...

With the emergence of Romo and the mediots waiting to pounce on anything remotely negative regarding T.O.,,,, quite possibly one of the biggest surprise contributors on this team is overlooked and rarely mentioned..... Columbo.

I don't think so much that Bledsoe's been in the wrong place at the wrong time...

I was very excited when he signed because I thought it would bring stability and leadership to the position...

However, while his injury was unfortunate in NE, he DID play himself out of a job in Buffalo and Dallas...

Here's how I look at it that if you're making rookie mistakes on a consistent basis and you're a 14 year vet, why not start over with a younger QB who may or may not make the mistakes but at least have the opportunity to develop someone for the future?...

I don't feel sorry for Bledsoe...

He's had a very good career but I question his judgement at times...

Three times over. Wonder if he has seen the movie with Denzel yet?

I guess the two players are comparable (LT & Merriman), both use/used drugs.
