Barring a devastating collapse which seems unthinkable at this time , team looks poised to win 12 or 13 games rather easily and be a serious contender in NFC.

We will probably have to do it on the road which makes it tougher than it should be for a team with what our record could be heading into playoffs but we could be favored at divisional winners with lesser records at least until the championship game.

We currently lead the league in point differential which is one of the greatest measurements in determining great teams . Yes, I said it. This team appears to be great. Statistically we rank right up there with the better teams in the league .

We finally have the defense and our offense is beginning to be the dominate force it was last year when it led the league . It all culminates into a legit shot in the playoffs for our deepest run this era.

What scares me is coaching.
Coaching matters in the playoffs. The better coaches always seem to have a scheme to exploit the weaknesses of their opponent.
I simply don't trust Kellen Moore or Mike McCarthy for that matter.
And I can't lie. Dak scares me too. It seems like the better coaches are able to take him out of his game.
I can't get his deer-in-the-headlines look he had in the first game against the Buccaneers. He looked literally lost like, "What the what am I doing here?"
And it looks like we'll have to play the Bucs in the first round of the playoffs.
I hope I'm wrong, though.

It’s definitely a concern in playoffs but my bigger point is we appear to be running on all cylinders heading into the playoffs .

And with a strong defense finally to compliment a top caliber offense look to be a more serious contender . But of course Prescott will need to perform at his highest level on the biggest stages .

It is really coming down to just one team in the way…..Philly. SF is a bit worrisome but less so today. Dallas can beat Philthy on any given Sunday no matter the records. No cheese eating and stick to the run game and I like our chances.

Typically, around this time of year we are primed for a playoff let down. What's different this year?

NFC is pretty weak. Outside of Philly I don't see a really good team this year. I'm probably selling Minnesota short after the Cowboys demolished them a few weeks ago, but SF doesnt have a QB, Washington/NY are mediocre, I think I would put Seattle into that mediocre bucket as well. TB had Brady, but is still trying to get to 500 on the year. I'm so glad we play in the NFC and not the gauntlet of the AFC this year.

I don't see anybody who can survive this defense. With Tyron coming back nobody will survive our running game.
All Dak needs to do is hit the short stuff and let the playmakers run.
MM is the wild card no room for sloppy play.
We are primed for the dance

It will be a short run if the Prescot of last night's game shows up! These slow starts have got to be addressed, he looks terrible looking for his open targets and when he finally releases the ball it's into double and triple coverages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it weren't for the Colts lousy QB play this game could have gone either way against an 11 point DOG!

We do seem to be running on all cylinders. But the playoffs are another matter altogether.
And the pressure will be amped 10 fold.
And I just don't know if this team is ready to handle it.
But, I could be wrong and, hopefully, I am.

This is our best team since 2007, and the NFC is the weakest I’ve ever seen it.

Of course that has to happen in a year when we will likely need to play the whole postseason on the road.

I’d still call it our best CHANCE since 2016. I think they will finally win a playoff road game and actually get to the NFC title game, but fall a little short.

Things can change on one play though. Ask Niner fans.

More than likely they will have to win 3 road games and one being in Philly. They have the talent but do they have the mentality to go do that never mind the coaching? That's the big question mark. Does Moore go away from the run at bad times costing the offense? Which Dak shows up? Does the loss of Brown and Lewis have a major effect on the defense? They are in the mix and that's all you can ask for. Can this group of coaches and players finally get this franchise to an NFC championship game and beyond? Stay tuned. I'm cautiously optimistic but part of me sees the draught continuing.

To win the NFC East Division, what wins by Dallas would insure that?
Or, will other teams left not playing Dallas, be required to lose for Dallas to win the Division??

I think playing on the road is best for this team. I feel they'll do better as road dawgs than playing at home. On the road, you have to really concentrate, overcome the environment and the other team's home-field advantage. I think we get lax a little bit at home. Our two biggest wins of this season (LA Rams and Minnesota) came on the road. And we jumped on both clubs early.

I think we can duplicate the same success, providing my fears as it relates to Dak and coaching don't prove to be true.
