Not really. If they hit on a draft pick. They have a player for 3 to 4 years. Or if a previous draft pick improves. All the one year deals will mean nothing come next year.

Yes, I wish some would be 2 or 3 years deals. As some are. But if you have them longer, it could mean more dead money if a rookie proves to be better.

Most of those sacks came in the first 10 games, he only had 2 sacks in the final 10 games and was a liability on the edge. Yes he’s a solid rotational pass rusher but $8mil for a specialist is a luxury
