Sidebar: For all its downside, this is where Rooney Rule is actually doing something positive, imo... guys like this get their names elevated as a consequence of being asked to interview, and the pool gets enlarged such that front offices just become more widely familiar with guys outside of their own silo.

I agree--especially for the position coaches, I think there is some benefit. I just wish teams wouldn't abuse it during their head coaching search (eg. interviewing guys with no shot, like Leslie Frazier, instead of guys that truly deserve the interview, like Brian Flores). Many (like the Cowboys or Patriots) simply aim to hit the quota for minority candidates and hire the guy they wanted.

Pitts has been in the league for 4 seasons now. Kroger worked with him for 1.
Maybe it’s time we all realize Pitts may not be the generational talent we all projected him to be!

maybe maybe not. Coaching can only do so much if a player isn't grasping things. Im not fully aware of the dynamics in ATL and the Pitts situation. You could be right though. Im wondering if this means we might lose Lunda wells altogether. Maybe Dallas doesnt wanna pay him lol.
